Mińsk County
Mińsk County in Mazowsze Voivodeship was established on January 1st 1999 (legal basis: the ordinance of the Council of Ministers of August, 7th 1998 on establishement of counties - Dziennik Ustaw No 103, item 652).
The County consists of :
- cities - Mińsk Mazowiecki, Sulejówek;
- communes - Cegłów, Dębe Wielkie, Dobre, Halinów, Jakubów, Kałuszyn, Latowicz, Mińsk Mazowiecki, Mrozy, Siennica, Stanisławów.
The local structure of the county is specified by the Statute of Mińsk County under the resolution III/15/98 of the Council of Mińsk County from 28 December 1998, with further modifications.
Mińsk County has a coat of arms and a flag established under the resolution XXVII/234/2002 of the Council of Mińsk County from 26 March 2002. The county’s coat of arms is a late-gothic Spanish shield with a rounded base divided in the middle, presenting in the red right-hand part a crownless eagle with a golden band on the wings and golden beak, claws and ring on the tail, in the blue part - a golden eight-pointed star above a golden crescent.
Mińsk County’s flag is a rectangular sheet of cloth of the ratio of the shorter side (width) to the longer side (length) as in 5:8, consisting of two even bands in parallel arrangement, the first bar (upper) in red, the second (lower) – in blue.
The headquarters of the county’s authorities is located in the city of Mińsk Mazowiecki.
