Development of tourism benefits from historical qualities. Several towns of the county are among the oldest in eastern Mazovia, e.g. Latowicz obtained town privileges in 1420, Mińsk in 1421, Kuflew in 1521, Stanislawow in 1523, Siennica in 1526, Dobre in 1530. Many towns have a long and rich history, the testimony of which are numerous monuments of material culture.

 

The most valuable monuments of Mińsk Mazowiecki include: the 16th century Catholic Church under the invocation of Birth of Virgin Mary, erected from the resources provided by the Miński family, the Baroque-classicist palace from the beginning of the 17th century located in the beautiful landscape park, the brick edifice built according to the design of architect Henryk Marconi between 1847-53, located near Kilińskiego Plaza (in which the former county administration was located, while today it is occupied by the County Sanitary-Epidemiology Station), the classicist-style building of the post office erected in the period of the construction of Trakt Brzeski in the beginning of the 19th century (in which today the Union of Polish Teachers is located along with the Teacher’s Club) and the brick neogothic Mariavite church from the early 20th century.

 

Mińsk Mazowiecki commune also has interesting and valuable structures such as: the Roman-Catholic Church under the invocation of Saint Antoni Padewski in Ignaców, built between 1892-1902 according to the design of Stanisław Adamczewski, the building near the church in Ignaców in which the Special Education Center established in 1895 is located, as well as the mansion from the 19th century in Marianka. Monuments include the mansion from the 19th century in Stara Niedziałka, together with the nearby park, and the mansion complex in Janowo with a picturesque park from 1914.

 

Mrozy commune can boast of many valuable structures: brick mansion from the 19th century, Saint Anthony’s monument from 1864, the baroque figure of Saint John of Nepomuk, the bell tower from the 18th century, vicarage from the early 19th century and the house of church organist from the 19th century. In Kuflew: the church under the invocation of Saint Adalbert erected in the 18th century and the wooden bell tower from the 18th century, as well as the mausoleum of Florian Cieszkowski from the 18th century in Jeruzal, the mansion in Łukowiec from the early 19th century, the wooden chapel in Wola Rafałowska from 1851. The most interesting objects in Jakubów commune include: church complex under the invocation of Saint Anne in Jakubów, church complex of the Mariavite parish in Wiśniew and the wooden windmill from 1924 in Wola Polska. In Cegłów, the oldest monument is the gothic Catholic Church under the invocation of Saint John the Baptist from the 16th century, partially rebuilt in the 17th century. Inside it, there is a gothic wooden altar of master Lasarus (from the school of Wit Stwosz). Near the church there is the historic bell tower from the 18th century. The second neogothic church from 1906 in Cegłów is the parish church of the Mariavite Church, where currently one of the biggest parishes of this denomination in Mazovia is located. In the town of Mienia within Cegłów commune there is a Social Support House of Saint Joseph, located in the historic building of the former hospital from 1809. In the town of Kiczki in Cegłów commune we may admire the 18th century wooden Catholic church under the invocation of Saint Anne and a 19th century mansion surrounded by a beautiful park.

 

In the town of Dobre of particular interest is the Roman Catholic church under the invocation of Saint Nicholas. It was built in gothic style and consecrated in 1880. Another very interesting object is the museum of Konstanty Laszczki, the great painter-sculptor, located in the Commune Culture Center in Dobre. Other historic sites include mansion complexes in Nowa Wieś, Piwki Ruda – Pniewnik, Rudzienko, Kobylance, as well as the windmill in Makówiec Mały. Siennica commune has several monuments such as: the church complex – Roman-catholic church and post-reformation cloisters from the 18th century located in Siennica, in Żaków there is a mansion from the 19th century along with an entry alley, in Pogorzela – a classicist mansion with a park from the 18th century, in Grzebowilk – a mansion with a park from the 19th century, in Dłuzem – a park-mansion complex (mansion from 1901, the park from the 19th century0, in Boża Wola – a mansion complex with brick mansion from the 19th century and a mansion park from the 19th century, Kąty Zdroje has a mansion complex from the second half of the 19th century which includes a brick mansion and a park with a water basin, whereas in Starogrod there is a post-mansion park established in the 2nd half of the 19th century.

 

The most interesting historic sites of the city and commune of Halinów include: Roman-Catholic church from the early 19th century located in Okuniewo along with a vicarage and cemetery chapel, wooden bell tower and a brick vicarage in Długa Kościelna, as well as the mansion complex in Okuniewo. Stanisławów has a historic urban plan of the market, other monuments include: Roman-Catholic church under the invocation of Saint John the Baptist and Stanisław Biskup from the beginning of the 16th century, a wooden bell tower from the 18th century, a brick vicarage from the late 19th century, a brick in from the early 19th century, a brick mansion from the first half of the 19th century along with a park. Stanisławów commune includes the following interesting sites: in Cisówka – a brick chapel from 1943, in Lubomin – a brick chapel from 1905, in Łęka – a windmill from the early 20th century, in Pustelnik – a brick vicarage from the early 20th century and a wooden parish house, in Szymankowszczyzna – brick farmhouse from the 19th century, in Wólka Wybraniecka – a brick chapel from the 19th century, in Zawiesiuchy a brick mansion from the 19th century.

 

In Dębe Wielkie commune in the town of Olesin there is a mansion complex with a brick mansion and park where a hundred years old trees grow, with a chapel from the half of the 19th century located on the island of the park’s basin; in the town of Ruda, there is a mansion park from the 19th century built in English style, well situated among the picturesque marshes, ponds and water channels. In Dębe Wielkie the historic sites include: Roman-Catholic parish church from 1916 under the invocation of Saints Peter and Paul, built in neogothic style and designed by the magnificent architect Józef Pius Dziekoński, as well as a mansion park.

 

Latowicz commune has the following historic sites: in Dębe Małe, a neo-renaissance brick palace from the second half of the 19th century with folwark structures, fenced with a wall from the beginning of the 20th century as well as a huge landscape park, in Waliska there is a brick mansion from the second half of the 19th century with a historic park from the second half of the 19th century, in Oleksianka there is a brick granary from the 2nd half of the 19th century along with a historic mansion park from the 19th century, in Wielgolas there is a neo-renaissance brick palace from the 19th century, a picturesque landscape par from the 19th century with specimens of old growth trees, in Kamionka there is a wooden Mariavite church from the beginning of the 20th century. In Latowicz there is the church under the invocation of Saint Valentine and the Holy Trinity, build in neogothic style between 1899-1911. Interesting sacred items of historical value in the church are: a baroque baptismal font and a Byzantine-Italian painting of the Virgin Mary with Child from the second half of the 17th century. The church is surrounded by a fence from the early 20th century, while the nearby chapels originate from the second half of the 19th century. The commune also has numerous historic chapels, figures, road crosses dated back from the 19th century to the 40s of the 20th century. In Kałuszyn the following sites are of interest: Roman-Catholic church under the invocation of Virgin Mary’s Ascension to Heaven, built between 1889-1897, designed by Józef Dziekoński, and a brick building of the vicarage from the second half of the 19th century, a brick post office building from the late 19th century, the building of the Firefighting Brigade from 1918, the inn building – former royal barracks, residential buildings located along Warszawska street originating from the 19th century, the figure of Jesus Carrying the Cross set for the 1600 anniversary of the Edict of Milan. The town has various monuments as well: on the parish cemetery there is a memorial of the fallen soldiers of the Józef Piłsudski 1st Division of Legion Infantry, while at Warszawska Street, a monument for the „Fighters for Independence” revealed on November 11, 1938 for the 20th anniversary of reclaiming independence.

 

In Kałuszyn commune there are also valuable sites such as: mansion-park complex in Sinołęka originating from around 1830, mansion-folwark complex in Gołębiówka built between 1923-1927, mansion park in Gołębiówka established in the early 20th century, the chapel praising the Holy Virgin Mary from the 19th century in Olszewice. The history of the town of Sulejówek is connected with the Second Polish Republic and the person of Marshal Józef Piłsudski, who lived in the „Milusin” mansion between 1923-26. Historic sites in Sulejówek are: villa complex which includes: a brick villa „Milusin”, built according to the design of the architect Kazimierz Skórewicz from 1923, the „Otrando” residential building from the early 20th century, the brick villa-edifice „Bzów” from the early 20th century and the residential building „Dworek Siedziba” built in 1911 and extended in 1934.
